Death and Taxes, Miracles, and Mono Red Prison was the deck of choice for seven entrants, which continues the rise of Mono Red Prison in Legacy. Grixis Delver came just after Lands and Sneak and Show, with eight players choosing to sleeve up the “best” deck in Legacy. It may be because Tabernacle is more accessible her in Italy, where it was printed in significantly larger numbers. In Barcelona and Hamburg, the deck was so underrepresented that it doesn't even appear in our metagame breakdowns. By comparison, Lands was the 6th most played deck in Frankfurt with only 6% of the field choosing to play it. Lands, in particular had one of, if not its best showing with nine players, or 8% of the field chose to sleeve up Tabernacle at the Pendrell Vale, a record percentage for MKM Series Legacy Main Events. Lands and Sneak and Show did this by showing up more than Grixis Delver, a true shocker in Legacy's current state. Can any deck end its reign over the MKM Series?ġ11 Legacy legionnares showed up here in Rome to showcase Legacy's famed complexity. But he was never able to enter the infinite here, as Czech Pile proved too strong once again. Pacilio had been able to show off his combo before, in his quarterfinal match against Power 8 member Julian Knab. It went to game three, where an early Jace, the Mind Sculptor managed to keep Cefala on one land for the short remainder of his tournament run.Ĭrepelle's third match was, of course, the final against Marco Pacilio's rather unique Show and Tell/ Omniscience deck, which used Burning Wish to fetch Enter the Infinite. His second appearance was in the semifinals, against Raffaele Cefala's Jund, a much grindier affair. In Round 7, he found himself up against Power 8 member Jonathan Anghelescu and his Sneak & Show, in a match where Crepelle managed to secure a relatively quick 2-0 victory. Crepelle played in three matches on our stream, so he really was able to show off his prowess with the deck. This time, however, it wasn't at the hands of the deck's inventor, but rather in Nicolas Crepelle's capable hands. For the second time in as many Legacy main events, Czech Pile rose to the top.
